We are extremely pleased to announce that Brigadoon was successful in its application to the B-FIT program of Health Promotions and Protection. On Saturday, April 25, 2009, Premier Rodney MacDonald and Minister Pat Dunn announced a commitment of $1.65 million dollars to Brigadoon. We are very grateful for this commitment by the Government of Nova Scotia which brings us a great deal down the trail to seeing Brigadoon Village become a reality.

The staff at The Trail Shop share a special bond with the outdoors. Our experiences in nature have shaped the way we look at the world around us. Brigadoon will be a place where sick kids can simply be kids, and we are dedicated to providing whatever help we can to make this dream a reality.

Camp Guts and Glory is open to children and youth throughout the Maritimes living with Crohn’s disease or ulcerative colitis. It is the first camp in Canada serving this population.

Maartje has been a tremendous asset to the Brigadoon office keeping mail outs on track, purchasing office supplies and always bringing with her a friendly smile and positive attitude. Thanks Maartje!
