BUILDING BRIGADOON

May of 2008 marked the official start of the Building Brigadoon Capital Campaign to raise the funds necessary to build the facility and make the Brigadoon dream a reality. With the help of a volunteer Capital Campaign Cabinet and through the generosity of individuals, corporations, and community organizations, Brigadoon is nearing its campaign total.

At Brigadoon we believe it takes "a village" to "build a village" and we thank our sponsors for their generous support.  If you would like to contribute to the Building Brigadoon Capital Campaign, or the endowment fund, please donate today.

When I’m asked why I’m helping to build Brigadoon I simply say:  “Because every kid deserves a chance to be ordinary.”  Our goal in building Brigadoon Village is to develop a camp facility for kids with chronic illness. More than just a camp getaway, Brigadoon Village will enable best practices in research, teaching, learning, and, most importantly, fun. We will be the first facility of our kind in Atlantic Canada. We want to provide the place that changes the lives of children, youth, and families living with chronic illness.
